Santa Cruz, CA
Approximately 92,300 square feet of wet labarotory space and core specialized facilities to support interdisciplinary reserarch for the Departments of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry, Environmental Toxicology, Biomolecular Engineering concentrating in health and medical issues, and a vivarium. The project site is located in the Science Hill area of the campus and has limited laydown and staging areas.
Due to the complex nature of the project, the team utilizd 3D Modeling during the design with Navisworks software for clash detection. This upfront planning allowed us to prefabricate assemblies offsite and with just-in-time deliveries, minimized disruption to the existing campus facilities.
