The Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s San Carlos Center is located on an 18-acre campus, and consists of a 4-story Acute Care Hospital, a 4-story clinic/administration building, and a single-story Central Utility Plant. These buildings collectively exceed 418,000 square feet. There is also a four-story 1,000 vehicle parking structure at approximately 400,000 square feet. The Central Utility Plant includes three 1250 KW Generators, 6000 Amp paralleling switchgear, and 12 KV site power distribution.
