We successfully completed this 53,663 square-foot below grade Upper and Middle School gymnasium design/build project. This fully automated state-of-the-art, LEED Silver accredited athletic center consisting of one university sized gymnasium with game seating for nearly 600, and one full sized gymnasium with seating for 400 all under the same roof. This building also houses a full wellness center with fitness and weight training rooms, class rooms and campus facilities.
This project’s 20-month design/build schedule with specific site logistic restraints was a challenge for both design and construction alike. We were not only challenged with the spatial aspects of the site, but also with the buildings light and noise pollution the project posed to neighboring residents. We worked side-by-side with the owner and architect to insure all these guidelines were consistently met or exceeded.
Our success stemmed from our detailing efforts from both field and design team along with our field pre-planning and scheduling.
