In eight short weeks Redwood Electric Group had the task to design and build McAfee’s new Santa Clara Campus. The project included tenant improvements of eight floors within Building A and two floors in each of Buildings B & C including office space, a gymnasium, café, server room and rack / bench labs. REG performed the electrical as well as the life safety and tele/data cabling systems.
The data installation included in excess of one million feet of category 6 cable was installed with feeds to twelve IDF’s, one MDF, one server room and ten labs. The back bone consisted of category 6a and OM4 multimode fiber for inter-building and OM4 multimode and single mode fiber for intra-building connectivity.
