Kaiser Oakland Hospital, SMOB, CUP, and Site

Project overview

The Kaiser Oakland project includes a Hospital, Hospital Support Building and Central Utility Plant. The design concept utilizes Engineers and Contactors collaboratively to design and model the project in 3D BIM Modeling.

The 680,000 square foot Hospital consists of a four (4) story Podium, with a 12-story Nursing Tower standing 210 feet high. Inside the tower there are (18) operating rooms and 346 patient beds. The project also includes state-of-the-art MRI, CT, Radiology and Fluoroscopy suites as well as an Emergency Room and Pharmacy.

The HSB consists of a four (4) story 225,000 square foot building. This includes eight (8) Operating Rooms and is utilized for outpatient Medical Office and Service Space. In addition there is a full Kitchen, Cafeteria and Pharmacy.

The CUP consists of a 33,000 square foot, two (2) story building with (4) Emergency Generators that provide Emergency Power to the Hospital, Hospital Support Building and the Future Medical Office Building.
